Honestly, how many of you look in the mirror and like what you see?
Or how many of you look in the mirror, and tear yourself apart? Even worse, avoid mirrors all together?! I used to use the mirror to pin point the part of my body I hated- my legs. The more I pinpointed my legs, the more I would hate them and the worse they would look to me. When I recovered from anorexia, I had to get used to seeing my self gain weight, so I took a whole new approach to looking at myself in the mirror. • •
🖤 Stand in the mirror, pose in the mirror, even dance around in the mirror (nude or in underwear, if comfortable), look at the Woman looking back, and just smile.
🖤Scan your body, from top to bottom, and pick just one part of your body that your going to decide to love today. Legs, tummy, back, nose, even a freckle you might think is cute.
🖤Say it out loud ‘I love my legs’. (this part may feel bit weird, but there’s a reason).
🖤Pick a new body part each week, and repeat this whole task. Even if at first this feels unnatural, or you’re literally fighting with yourself to choose something, I promise that it will get better and better each time.
fake it until you make it
What we believe and what we focus on, eventually becomes reality. ‘Fake it until you make it’ If you have too… just don’t stop until your worst body part becomes your best
